I'm Back Like I Forgot Something

I've been on my grind these last several days. I've booked about 650 games or so, should have tapped 700ish yesterday but a virus slowed me down. I managed to book two sessions before I decided to go find a file with a virus for myself. By the time I got that cleaned up I was ready to crash. It gave me a bit of time to do some school shit too.

Things still aren't running 100% today. I just booked one session but my HUD wasn't working, due possibly to the virus I had I'm not sure. Anyways I'm reinstalling HEM and merging my laptop and desktop databases onto my desktop, I'll do my laptop before I leave for anywhere. I've got another class in an hour and I'm debating doing an English assignment I have due Friday. Seems a bit eager to do it right now though... I usually do my writing materials last minute. I always hated guided English classes but I loved reading and generally enjoyed writing. But I like doing those things to the beat of my own drum, not with an approach required for critique.

I don't remember if I mentioned it in my last entry, but I dropped Spanish. I would've been taking 6 courses and that wouldn't have been terrible, but it was a 3 hour night course. I just was not terribly interested in doing a 3 hour course in a winter semester. At some point that may be a must, but this semester I passed on that thought. I'm progressing fine anyways, I don't mind holding on to the student life for the next while. It gives me ample time to position myself for the future somewhat better as well, which generally isn't something students tend to pursue while in university and college, what with tuition and partying.

Life is a balancing act, and sometimes you have to tilt the balance in one direction for an extended period so that you can have more flexibility in the future. It's all perception anyways.

I've got one more class today then I'd like to grind for the rest of the evening. That won't be possible, however, because I've gotta run around town for a few things tonight. I'd like to find a TV tonight, as I've canceled my online order because they're still not in stock, but the previous order hasn't been refunded to my card yet. I'd rather not be stuck with two TV charges at once in case something annoying occurred on the online purchase end and it didn't get refunded for some time or something. That would be annoying.

I'll still look to log another 4 sessions today. The goal thus far has been 5 per day, I did 6 once or twice. I'll book two more when I get home from class assuming my HUD is working now, then I'll likely book two more later in the evening. I'd like to have around 1200 games logged after Sunday. It's just a matter of putting the time in. I'd really like to be at 2000 games the Sunday after this, but that's a stretch. I'll likely be around 2000 in that week somewhere.

If things go smoothly to that point then my plan is to book a few 27s this month at the end, to add to my small December sample. I wasn't playing with a very great setup or conditions in that period and I'm not sure if I'm up a bit or down a bit overall, but I think with proper focus I'm an okay winner in the games. If I did alright in them then I'd probably continue with them into February for at least a week and see how things went. February is a bit of a shorter month so it'd be great to get some much needed VPPs at a higher buy-in. Supernova still hasn't left my conscience, it's just a few months off still.

Lately I've been playing in a way that seems to dampen result oriented thinking tremendously. I've just been playing my 5-6 sessions a day and not checking the cashier. I did it for 2 or 3 days last week and really enjoyed it, it allowed me to just play my game. I checked Sunday night after I finished and I was pleased with my results. This week I'm going the entire week without checking. I'll probably do the same and check Sunday after my last session. It separates you from the money a bit, which is a good thing to me. It lets me just treat it like the skill game it is and lets me pick my spots clearer, without bankroll numbers dancing through my head. I'm still playing within my bankroll so the need to be constantly checking is nothing more than that starving need to see growth. It's the same with any goal oriented objective I guess.

I've started playing GTA IV finally, since I realized I wasn't going to be getting my TV for longer than I anticipated. It's a great game, I've only done a handful of missions so far but the always-present free roam aspect of GTA paired with the levels of interaction in this installment really set the game apart from it's predecessors.

Anyways I'm gonna review an assignment, drop that off and run to class. Happy grindings.
