Got my bankroll to a point where I was prepared to take a shot at the next buyin, things went well for a day. Got slaughtered my first session today to a point where I've gotta move back down. Doesn't hurt my ego because I haven't felt like I've been playing my best to begin with.
It was a bit of a wake-up call to review though. I've plowed through 11 hand histories so far, gonna check out another bunch while I eat. Then I'm gonna rip a few tokes off the bong and get back at playing. Assuming things don't get really nasty for me I'm still looking at a ton of volume tonight and throughout the weekend. Looking forward to making progress on Nova and hopefully redeeming myself to beating these games hard.
Most likely I'll get to Nova via DoNs regardless of how low my winrate gets, but if things are really bleak at the games then at that point I may decide to transition to something else. What, I'm not completely positive.
Although I'm not winning much and feel like I'm getting beat down, I also haven't reviewed in too long and review is so crucial. I always go through stretches where I get lazy and stop reviewing and start playing break even poker. It's not a great spot to find yourself while you're amped to log hands.
I've made great progress on the Nova chase this month, but I won't score it like I had hoped. If I hadn't got shut down at the 50s so easily today I was gonna chase it. It was a lot of volume but I definitely could have hit it. There won't be any way for me to do it having to rebuild at the 20s for a bit again.
Oh well, in time I'll hit it and get a slight boost in FPP accumulation and a few more options on cashing in on those FPPs. Hopefully at that point I'll be crushing the games again also.
